This commemorative coin is a homage to the centennial and the valuable work of the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare.

The sensitive pictorial subject, “CENTURY OF THE CHILD”, of the commemorative coin is a collage of semi-abstract asymmetrical and circular relief shapes. On the averse the artist, Erja Tielinen, has depicted children and youths at various stages of their life. The reverse of the coin features a sleeping child in profile, the text: LASTEN OIKEUDET BARNENS RÄTTIGHETER, and the face value, 20 €.
