Proof quality – mintage only 4,800 coins!
The second special Finnish coin of 2024 highlights the history and special quality of our country's architecture. The agency established by Herman Gesellius, Armas Lindgren and Eliel Saarinen is in the spotlight – which, during its short period of existence, was responsible for the design of several notable works of architecture.
- Glassy proof quality valued by collectors
- A totally unused and wear-protected collector’s item
- A historically low minting quantity – only 400,000 coins, of which 4,800 are of proof quality
The distinctive side of the commemorative coin is distinguished by the buildings stretching towards the centre (the National Museum, Hvitträsk, Tallberg House and the Finnish Pavilion at the Paris World Exhibition 1900), as well as the names of the architects.
The proof coins favoured by collectors are minted individually, with the highest quality stamps. Many special work stages as well as manual labour are included in their manufacture. The coins are distinguished by their glass-like background, creating a beautiful foundation for the matte illustration.
